Trustee Candidate for Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board
"Every child in our Catholic schools deserves an education rooted in faith, guided by excellence, and supported by a community that truly cares."
A trustee belongs in the community, at school events, parish gatherings, neighbourhood meetings, and everywhere families come together. Here's where I've been.
📸 Moments from the campaign trail across Wards 7, 8, 9 & 10.
Becoming a mother changed everything for me. I learned that building community can begin in the smallest gathering. Building community also happens during the steady work of everyday life, in even the simplest form of running an errand, saying hello to a familiar face, or offering a helping hand. Raising children did too, in teaching my children how to care about and help others by doing small good deeds. My children became aware of how they can build community as well.
Raising children motivated me to start volunteering, and I began supporting children and their families through leading the Children's Liturgy, sitting on Parish Council, and being active on Catholic School Council. I care about the effect a community has on its children and families.
I've learned that serving your community rarely looks glamorous. It's hard work and full of commitment. The same hard work and commitment is what builds solid community connections. It requires the same dedication as building a business. The same commitment, dedication, and perseverance I used to build several businesses in the past are the same values I continue to use to build community connections today.
I believe, with my whole heart, that great Catholic education rests on three things: faith first, real academic excellence, and parents who are truly welcomed into their children's school life. Our children are our future, and they deserve a Trustee who cares about their education and their community.
Join Our CampaignIn 2022, hosted community coffee talks on re-energizing faith in the home and served as Children's Liturgy Co-ordinator, building a team of 9 volunteer Liturgists who now lead 20 to 40 children in Sunday Liturgy every week.
Elected in 2022 to the CWL Executive Council as Community Chair, serving four years and bringing the Mary Matthews Speech Contest to every school.
Elected in 2023 to a three-year term as Vice-Chair of St. Anne's Parish Advisory Council, and appointed the same year by Father Pham as Parish Representative to the Catholic School Council at St. Anthony of Padua Parish.
Bringing the Rosary to schools since 2024, helping create calmer, more focused days for students and staff.
Partners with City Councillors and the Knights of Columbus on food drives, coats for kids, and breakfast clubs; before becoming a mother, built and ran several businesses across Brampton, Mississauga, and Port Credit.
My platform is grounded in what matters most to families across Wards 7, 8, 9, and 10: faith-centred schools, quality education, and a Board that listens.
Protecting and strengthening our Catholic identity, ensuring faith is woven through every dimension of school culture, not just in name, but in practice and spirit.
Advocating for updated curricula, skilled teachers, and expanded learning resources so every student in our Brampton schools can excel and pursue their calling.
Bringing open, honest communication to the Board. Parents will know what is being decided, why, and how they can have a say, because they deserve nothing less.
Building bridges between schools, parishes, local organizations, and families to create a network of support for students that extends beyond the classroom walls.
Holding the Board accountable for every public dollar. Smart spending means more resources in classrooms, not boardrooms. I will fight for that every day.
Every student, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance, can thrive in a Catholic school. Schools that are healthy and safe for children are not just policies; they are Gospel values.
One trustee. Four wards. A single, united commitment to every Catholic family in north and central Brampton. I will represent every ward with equal dedication.

Matthew 19:14 - 15
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
"When I reflect on Matthew 19:14 - 15, I firmly believe a Catholic education plants the seeds for a lifetime of faith, kindness, and service. As these children grow, they carry those values with them and become people who contribute in positive ways to their families and communities."
— Andrea Baranowski
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board has always been more than just an institution, it has been a covenant. A place where families can trust that their children will be educated in an environment where faith is lived, not just taught.
As your trustee, I will work to ensure our schools honour that covenant fully. Catholic identity must be present not only in our chapels and prayer time, but in how we care for one another, how we resolve conflict, how we celebrate achievement, and how we support our most vulnerable students.
Faith in action looks like welcoming every family warmly, supporting teachers in their vocation, and building school communities that are genuine reflections of Gospel values in daily life.
